It’s their very first Christmas - and potentially your first as parents! - making it a Christmas you’ll remember forever. And whilst they won’t recall their first Christmas tree, their first time of twinkling lights or the opening bars of their first Christmas carol, you’ll be there to witness it all.
As the saying goes, the days are long, but the years are short - and with every year that passes, time seems to move quicker still. Decorating the tree, our sweet family,
The most memorable Christmas yet.
This year is your very first Christmas.
You’ve loved all the twinkling lights,
The sights and smells, the jingling of bells
(And our far-from-silent nights).
How can we ever recount or recall,
The wonder of stories untold?
The songs we sung, the stockings we hung,
The ornaments, silver and gold?
You took it all in, each moment, each day,
Not knowing your first Christmas night.
As you slept we watched on, not believing our luck,
We knew then - life was merry and bright.
Sharing this Christmas has filled us with joy,
And brought magic like never before.
Though you won’t remember your very first one,
We’ll cherish it forever more.
One day soon you’ll stand here by the tree,
Hanging the baubles with care,
And we’ll talk of the love, the laughter and light,
Our memories filling the air.
You’ll outgrow your first Christmas jumper,
The toys and the babygrows too,
But for us, every Christmas from now on will glow
With the love we have found in you.
And so - Merry Christmas, littlest one
Our sweet love, our darling, our dear
You have brought us such magic, such wonder and joy
